Late sunsets

When I was a little girl I was diving into the stories of Russian writers, where they were describing the marvels of the white nights. But you can’t actually picture it until you see it.

Finland is one of the countries that benefits from this beauty of mother nature, and, of course, from its northern position on the globe. The phenomenon of midnight sun is one of the most amazing things that happen during summer in Finland. Not to mention the spectacle of colours in the sky, which makes the most beautiful sunsets I’ve ever experienced.

People of Helsinki enjoy the daylight literally day and night and this gives a special vibe to the city. Hours pass with the speed of light and you might find yourself loosing track of time, lying on the grass at 2am in the morning. You can actually call Helsinki in summer “the city that never sleeps”.
