Story of Helsinki

Helsinki is a city where buses are always on time, where English is a common language spoken by everyone and where nature dominates the concrete.

Surrounded by water and formed by several islands, the city offers to its residents amazing landscapes, in close proximity to the city’s landmarks.

Although the capital, Helsinki seems to be a very small city, where you can easily reach the main points of interest by foot. During weekends, especially the sunny ones, you can find many terraces on the coast where Finns love to enjoy the sun and drink a glass of sparkling wine, admire the boats passing by and chatting with their beloved friends.

The sports lovers are usually on the sea, practicing different types of water sports, especially wind surfing. The parks are also full of people jogging or doing the Nordic walk (in case you never heard of it, Nordic walking is a total body version of walking that can be enjoyed both by non-athletes as a health-promoting physical activity, and by athletes as a sport. The activity is performed with specially designed walking poles similar to ski poles).
