One of the best activities to do in Oman is a ride along its Grand Canyon. You can either book a specialized tour that will take you on top of the mountains in their white SUVs (and maybe let you drive for some time) or you can as well rent a car on your own.
Be prepared to allocate the whole day for the journey and don’t forget to take your camera, since you will experience breath-taking views. On top of the mountains, at around 3000m altitude, you can enjoy a chilly lunch, in a very Arabic atmosphere.
